Beliefs

We are all spiritual children of a loving Heavenly Father, who sent us to this earth to learn and grow during our mortal journey. As Latter-day Saints, we follow Jesus Christ and strive to serve Him by living our lives according to His teachings and sharing His eternal plan for each of us. What Should I Wear?

Feel free to wear any modest clothing that makes you comfortable. Most men wear suits or ties, and women often wear dresses or skirts. Children usually dress up as well.

Do I Have to Donate Money?

No, donations are not requested, and no collection plate is passed.

Do I Have to Participate?

No, you're welcome to simply observe and enjoy the service without participating.

Will I Feel Uncomfortable Attending Alone?

We hope not! Many people attend alone. If you'd like someone to sit with, you can ask the missionaries or bishop, and they’ll help you connect with someone.

Will Everyone Know I'm a Visitor?

This depends on the size of the congregation. Larger ones may not notice, while smaller ones will likely recognize and welcome you.

How Long Does Church Last?

The main worship service, called sacrament meeting, lasts about an hour. Everyone is welcome, including children.

What Happens During Sacrament Meeting?

We sing hymns, offer prayers, partake of the sacrament (bread and water), and listen to speakers from the congregation. There isn’t just one pastor; an unpaid bishop leads each congregation.

Are There Other Meetings on Sunday?

Yes! Before or after sacrament meeting, there are classes for adults, teens, and children. Feel free to ask for directions if you’d like to attend.
